Joan brings decades of business leadership to her passion for driving clients forward in their careers. She spent a decade in positions of increasing management responsibility with Apple, 3Com and Memorex, driving award-winning sales training and global marketing programs. Joan built and ran global customer programs, advertising, PR, direct marketing, advisory councils and always brought a special expertise and interest in developing and building teams. Joan then founded and led two successful marketing and communications consultancies, putting several notable start ups on the map and driving new programs for leading companies like Intel and Apple, again. Recognized for powerful and creative communications and positioning, Joan brings that valuable asset to positioning her coaching clients with accuracy, clarity and freshness.

Committed to lifelong learning in a wide range of subjects, Joan earned a B.S., cum laude in Psychology from The University of Pennsylvania with coursework at the Wharton School. She earned her M.A. in Instructional Technology from the University of Oregon. Additionally, Joan completed courses at University of London, Stanford, New York University, and The New School for Social Research. Continually involved with professional development, she is a founding member of the Institute of Coaching at Harvard University.
