The all-day conference will take place Thursday, May 1, at the Community Foundation of Silicon Valley, 1300 S. El Camino Real, Suite 100, in San Mateo.
The conference will provide job seekers who are returning to work after a career break — whether due to child or elder care, layoffs, or other reasons — with practical tools to better market themselves in the fast-changing Bay Area marketplace. Attendees will be able to successfully:

Silicon Valley entrepreneur and Stanford University Graduate School of Business graduate Johanna Wise drew from her own experience to start Refresh Your Career and the Connect•Work•Thrive conferences. “After a successful career working for Bain & Company, Goldman Sachs, and PepsiCo, I took a career break to raise children. When I decided to re-enter the job market, I found that I needed to sell more than my degrees and previous work experience.
